Debra W. Williams is a real estate industry veteran and one of the principals of Vector Real Estate Advisors, L.L.C. Her experience encompasses all aspects of the real estate process – acquisitions, capitalization, development, operations, asset management and disposition. Debra has been affiliated with both institutional and private-sector real estate companies and thus has been on both sides of the table in a wide variety of transactions and projects. She has also worked on deals in markets from coast to coast and maintains a network of professional contacts upon whom she can call for information and/or active participation as needed.

Prior to founding Vector, Debra spent over nine years as Director of Asset Management for L. M. Sandler & Sons, Inc., a major private land developer based in Virginia Beach, VA and active throughout the Southeast. During her tenure with Sandler, she was the senior executive responsible for commercial real estate ventures of the company. This included asset management of existing properties, corporate leasing for all entities as well as oversight of new vertical development. Debra’s activities spanned development and construction of office, retail, industrial and multifamily assets to management of raw land in various projects with issues such as wetlands delineation, hazardous materials, development entitlement, planning and disposition activity and existing older assets requiring repositioning and disposition.

Debra’s institutional real estate background includes tenures at Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers (MassMutual), Liberty Real Estate Company (Liberty Mutual), Boylston Capital Advisors (New England Mutual), and AEW Capital Management. These assignments afforded Debra the opportunity to perform both asset management and acquisitions functions in major markets nationwide. During the late 1980’s and early 1990’s, Debra’s focus was on loan workouts at AEW Capital Management and she then co-founded and managed the Special Assets Division of New England Mutual’s mortgage group, known as Boylston Capital Advisors. As Director of Asset Management, Debra supervised the disposition of Liberty Mutual’s entire $600 million national real estate portfolio and later joined Cornerstone Real Estate Advisers as a Vice President with both asset management and portfolio/client management responsibilities.

Debra has a Masters in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan/Ann Arbor and a Bachelor of Arts with Distinction in Urban Geography from the University of Wisconsin/Madison.
